Spent the day in Maxs garden with watercolour and ink. Dire work but I so enjoyed it. Silence, privacy, bouncing birds, great views.... terribly HOT, but in sight of the snows.
Marked time by the church clock.
Great. Hoping to get back tomorrow.
In Amsterdam, by luck, I met Lino Hellings. She advised me to keep my work diary on-line, exposing my work methods rather than protecting them, risking the humiliation involved in failure. So:celebrate error. In my heart I knew this to be a good idea. My brain, horrified, fortunately tells me it will be too boring for anyone to read.

Signed this piece of silliness off (its for the toques et clochers) Only one more on the go to finish then I'm back to where I was before the interruption. And where was I intending to go then? God knows. Thought it would come back to me as I finished the work but that river has flowed on :) Pas grave. Oh the I have measured out my life in blister packs is nearly finished though I think the actual art of it will be in a photo. Dawdling somewhat for the pleasure of it.

Finally - finally! - made it to Carcassonne to see the Courbet. Look at those parallel lines and diagonal slashes :) And the way he applies paint. Astonishing.

Not so much finished as abandoned... wanted to go to Carcassonne today to check out their Corbet but driven back by floods. Done nothing; the pix Im on are too wet and Im not ready to start a new set. Flooding kept me engaged.
And Micheal has died so sadness abounds. No, more like anger. Feel cheated.

Trolling along quite happily. Cant evaluate the work yet. Energised and cheerful anyway, dreams v vivid. Rather moral. In that they seem concerned with morality, or what I call morality. Lies (don't); 'I will not listen to this'.

A 'wedding' dream - echos of alchemy. Very powerful.
Painting trundling along but maybe I want to change landscapes, not paint them... regret my age and incapacities.
Made the crown thing yesterday and most impressed, following some of Picabias dictum of least resistance. Not finished. Enjoying too much to complete perhaps.
