Back home after a weeks absence, full of ideas if not exactly robust good health - and find a mixture of guests arriving, appointments made and exhibitions promised will prevent leaping into work.
Immediate issue is preparing for the artistes a suivre (artistesasuivre.org) Living in Esperaza means I do the OFF with the other artists, basically open studios. Except NO-ONE gets into my studio and the vast garage where the work is stored which is my usual space is tooooo difficult, which leaves the little gallery in the courtyard. Perfect; but the external gates onto Rue St Saens have to be opened and hung and the route from there to the gallery cleared of wheelbarrows and old windows. Easy. But I'm away tomorrow (Leucate date for lunch) and Tues. (huge list and collection of friends from airport), can start Weds either side of lunch date for the opening Thurs. That closes at the end of month and other commitments loom...
On the plus side, didn't take painkillers while I was away and the pain has nearly gone. It's there but not a lot.
And also on the plus side, don't have to do any of this :) Can throw a tantrum and not bovver.
